Scott Neely
|
I work in a range of media, including writing, painting, and printmaking. My
works find their balance through a back-and-forth between expression and restraint,
built by layers, then reduced. The pictures aim to be visual poems: succinct,
present, ambiguous.
I have led literary and visual collaborative projects on issues of diversity,
race, and religious pluralism, most recently as the Writer-in-Residence for Spartanburg
Regional Foundation's Healing Arts program in 2006-07. I serve as Pastoral Executive
at First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg , SC.
