Currently serving as the Director of the Success Initiative at Wofford College,
I am a practicing visual artist working with the intersection of mixed media and
multi-media to explore human forms. I embrace experimentation as an essential
part of my daily practice.
The images depicted here are from my recent series, "Synapses." These digitally
enhanced, ink on paper images are the result of an experimental technique with
compressed air. The images are an exploration of the brain activity that occurs
during an epileptic seizure.
A friend has dubbed them, "Jackson Pollock meets the x-ray." I think that is
a flattering description of what I am attempting here.
