Jane Doyle

I paint for the purpose of discovery, seeking out the infinite range of colors that can blend together, to produce a work that reflects how I see and interpret any given subject. In this process I allow my imagination to be the hub and let it navigate me through the shapes and colors, so what unfolds on the canvas is an original presentation of hues, shades and tones whose existence in harmony had hitherto remained unseen. Each painting becomes a voyage showing how far I am able to put down on canvas the combination of imagination and feelings about a subject in an experimental way that reflects my thoughts and aspirations but is yet appealing to a third party.
