Open to all North and South Carolina artists!  Our next juried exhibtion will be held at Carolina Gallery in downtown Spartanburg, S.C. in September 2011.

Artists must deliver their accepted pieces, produced in the past two years, to the Carolina Gallery September 9th and 10th, between 11:00 – 5:00 pm.

The Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg’s 38th Annual Juried Exhibition opens to the public on September 15th, and welcomes submissions until August 1st.  Entry is free for Guild members and $40 for non-members.
 
For the second year in a row, the 2011 exhibition will consider two- and three-dimensional pieces by artists from both North and South Carolina.  Those juried in will be displayed at the Carolina Gallery [carolinagalleryart.com] in downtown Spartanburg for the duration of the show, which ends October 20th.
 
Over $4000 in prizes will be awarded to winners in five categories: 2D-Painting; 2D-Drawing and Mixed Media; 2D-Photography and Digital Art; 3D-Sculpture, Ceramics, Jewelry, etc.; and Upcycled.
 
The juror is Alfred D. Ward, Emeritus Professor of graduate programs in art at Winthrop University.  Ward, an internationally known designer whose distinguished career includes professorships at the University of London and the University of Michigan, will select finalists based on their digital images, and then determine award winners in person.  Accepted entries will be announced on the website of the Artists’ Guild [www.artistsguildofspartanburg.com] on August 30th, and the winners will accept their awards at the reception on Saturday, September 17th, at 7:00 pm at the Carolina Gallery.
